It's winter time again! Time to grab your snow pants, mittens, gloves, hats and join us at Campgaw to snow tube! Don't miss the excitement of sledding with friends.

KIDS' DAY OUT- PAJAMA JAM

The Kids' Day Out will be hosting a pajama party for kids on January 12, 2012 at the Hillside School cafeteria from 6:30-7:30 pm. Music will be provided by Music for Aardvarks in Waldwick. Kids (preschool to third grade) are encouraged to wear pajamas and slippers and should be ready to dance and sing to some awesome music!! Annual Holiday Shopping Crawl at Tice's Corner in Woodcliff Lake on

ANC Winter Sport Event - ALLENDALE FAMILY SKATE DAY AT SPORT-O-RAMA

No school and something to do! Don’t miss a super time, rain or shine, and skating with your family and friends at Sport-O-Rama, home ice for Northern Highlands and Highlands Hockey. A great time for kids to get prepped for skating at Crestwood and the Celery Farm this winter. A good time to get your first skating experience with your parents and people you know. Sport-O-Rama will provide skating lessons for a nominal fee, if you'd like.

When: Friday November 11, 2011 1:30-4:30pm (if taking lessons, lessons are at 2pm)
How much: $10 includes skating, skate rentals, slice of pizza and a drink.

FYI re: Extras: Skating lessons are $6, (minimum of 6 skaters) available to children as beginners (who can travel across the ice unassisted, not necessarily gracefully), novice and intermediate skaters. Sport-O-Rama is the Summer International Training Center for Peter Burrows & Mary Lynn Gelderman, USA World & Olympic coaches. Wow!

No chicken soup will be prepared at the next meeting of the Chicken Soup Club. Instead, please join us to learn how to bake dessert treats that are healthy and nutritious. If we don't eat everything we bake as it comes out of the oven, the treats will be used to help our neighbors within the Allendale Newcomer's Club community.

Get ready to show your best Hawaiian abilities in the activities. Bring your tube, saucer or plastic toboggan for SLED UP THE HILL RACE. Get limber for the SKI POLE LIMBO. There will be PRIZES!!!! Prepare for the best BABY HAWAIIAN SNOW SUIT CONTEST. And finish the WINTER WONDERLAND SCAVENGER HUNT!!!!

The price of the End of Winter Luau is $5/adult and kids are of course free!!!

September 4th - Water Festival - 1pm to 4pm - Crestwood Lake

The Holiday Observers are hosting the annual Water Festival Day on Saturday, September 4th from 1pm - 4pm at Crestwood Lake. (Raindate is Sunday, September 5th, same time and location!)

September 11th - 9/11 Memorial Service - 7:15pm - Crestwood Lake (by the Red Barn)
Memorial planned for September 11 at 7:15pm, at the 9/11 Memorial Site at Upper Pond, Crestwood Lake. Residents are asked to bring candles.

September 24th - PTO Back to School BBQ - 4:30 - 7:30pm - Crestwood Lake (Red Barn)
Hot dogs, hamburgers and drinks as well as moonwalks, sand art, face painting and tattoos. A DJ will spin the tunes - all for $20 per family!
September 25th - Town Wide Garage Sale - 9am to 5pm - Allendale
The Allendale Women's Club sponsors this annual event, with a rain date of September 26th. For information about how to join in with your own garage sale go to http://www.allendalewomansclub.org/. Half of the proceeds will benefit Rebuilding Together Bergen County.

The 2009-2010 Newcomers Board members approved a $3000 donation to Crestwood Park in March and the money was donated at the April Board Meeting! The money will be used to repair the toys in the park, and to purchase and install a brand new tire swing. Just in time for Spring Fun for the littlest citizens of Allendale! Special Thank You to Town Council Members Amy Wilczynski and Liz White for attending the March Board Meeting and receiving the donation in person!!
